Jared's phone buzzes on the nightstand, followed by the blaring ring of Jensen's across the room. He checks his quickly and acknowledges the handful of texts and emails begging him to come in even when it's four in the morning. Then he tosses a glance over his shoulder to see Jensen's phone flashing and still ringing from where it sits on the nightstand closest to Jensen's side of the bed.

"Hey, your phone," Jared mumbles as he swats at Jensen's back. The guy is turned over to his stomach, face nearly buried in his pillow, and obviously dead to the world.

Grumbling to himself, and at Jensen in annoyance, Jared shuffles across the bed, leans over Jensen's back, and grabs the phone to make it stop. While doing so, his tired eyes snap onto words like homicide and officer and shooting.

Jared gets messages like this all the time. Jensen's in Internal Affairs now; these alerts mean something entirely different.

"Stop snooping," Jensen says as he snatches his phone back.

"I'm investigating," Jared corrects with a small smile

Oh... ♥ ♥ I love these two, even when they're being totally ignorant of the changes in the relationship and what they mean. Huge, hot dorks, both of them. Especially Jared's concern over Jensen's I.A. position...dealing with shady cops is probably more dangerous than dealing with shady civilians!

Thank you! ♥ I almost went more into the IA part but realized I should save that for a rainy day. I DO wanna write a story focusing on Jensen in that role, and perhaps how it crosses one of Jared's cases, so there are strange dynamics there.

I almost prompted something almost entirely IA related, but then I scolded myself because you wanted to write TIMESTAMPS, not sequels :P BUT I AM TOTALLY DOWN FOR A SEQUEL, DUH. I hope you do get to that on a rainy day - there are lots of rainy days here, I can share :)

It's definitely on the list (I actually started it once, Lord knows where it's at), though the list is miles long, so who the hell knows lol.
