Red Alert had briefly considered tagging along with Kitten Prime and Company, if only to make sure Rodimus stayed safe and out of trouble, but thought better of it after contemplation. Right now, at a glance, who would even know that the small orange Terran cat is the Autobot Prime, unless someone draws undue attention to him

I don't think so--but she's very sensitive. Ah--that's rather what we're working on now. You'll want to listen in on this, if we can keep Frostbite and Red from freezing their circuits at your presence. As I said, we're still at the 'throw ideas at the wall and see what sticks' stage.Starscream very quickly fills Blackstar in on just what's been going on with Victor Drath, Ambassador Witwicky, the kidnapped-and-recovered Transformers, and what you do with a synthezoid duplicate. It's risky, using his thread of a connection to the Allspark like this--part of him wants more of it, wants to rejoin it--but time is pressing and Blackstar needs to know this ( ... )

"No. I think I have enough to start with. Unless you've got any pressing reason not to, I'll go track down Castle Destro and start snooping. If you think of anything I need to know, just comm me. It'll work," Blackstar explains, making to fade out, unless Frostbite stops him.

A brief while later, Kaci knocks politely and allows for a pause before opening the unlocked door from the outside. She steps in and lets the door close behind her.
"Hi, Frosty." She offers the other femme a smile. "You wanted to see me?"

...And then worse still.
"I've heard of synthoid clones, but I'm afraid I don't know much about Cobra. They weren't around when I was still working for the Foundation." She looks slightly apologetic. Sensing that there's more, she slips into silence and remains looking attentive, waiting for Frostbite to elaborate.

She shakes her head. "Not at all, no. He acted just how I'd've expected a guy in his situation to have acted." Her expression turns inward and slightly sympathetic as she remembers the long, agonizing drive back to Autobot City. They'd both been desperate to get back, and even going at maximum speed she still hadn't seemed able to make the journey short enough. It had been frustrating.
And then the bomb drops.
Kaci just stares at Frostbite for a long while. Around them, the quietness of the room suddenly becomes noticeable as a harshly empty silence. A myriad of reactions flash across the Celica's face; first shock, then worry, a brief spike of denial that subsequently gives way to reluctant acceptance; fear, outrage... guilt ( ... )

"...god, what a mess," she finally says at last, referring to the whole situation in general as it currently stands. "What about... what about the others? Who else might Drath have gotten his hands on and cloned?" She hopes it isn't too many.
She heaves a sigh, rubbing at the side of her helm where the temple would be on a human. "I'm sorry, Frosty. I didn't think-- if only I'd thought to... I didn't realize Drath might've..." She trails off, starting to become a little muddled once more.

Odd, that. For the split second when Kaci had still been staring down at her lap, having not yet looked up, she could've sworn it wasn't Frostbite sitting in that chair on the opposite side of the table. There was that same sense of being in someone's office or the equivalent, reporting to someone who was in charge while Kaci herself was not, yes. But for that tiniest of split seconds...
The room wasn't technically space for an office, but it managed to feel sufficiently like one for the general impression to get across for now. It was spacious, high-ceilinged, quiet, and impeccably tidy. As it always was. As most if not all the rooms were these days, in fact. Since Jo had joined the team even Kevin had made some attempt to sort out the bomb disposal site that was his room aboard Sky One (their mobile base) for fear of what she would do to him if he didn't. Jo was good at instilling fear into people like that. Kaci could easily picture her as a senior- ( ... )

She nods again. "Yes, I know..." And it was a sobering thing to know. She glances down and looks briefly reflective at that before continuing.
"Alright. I'd suggest talking to the other two as well as Michelle, just in case we can get any more out of them than her. Wasn't Fredrick one of the ones who was more forthcoming with information before?" She looks a little unsure; Frostbite had been the one to question him, not Kaci herself.
"Let me know if you need any help with any of that, either way."
