#5. Snail
It was a typical rainy afternoon accompanied with grumbling grey clouds and puddles. The infamous boy band, SHINee, had just finished their radio show and were making their way to their van.
Jinki sighed as he felt rain drops rolling down his cheeks. The leader hated the rain more than anything in the world. “Stupid Taemin and Minho hogging the umbrellas.” He muttered faintly under his breath, “I hate the maknaes...” His slender arms wrapped around himself to keep himself warm.
The rain continued to fall heavily as he jogged down the road. Pit, pat, pit, pat. It was almost soothing, like a melody, to his ears.
That was until a loud shriek from Kim Kibum's pair of thin lips.
Almost immediately, all four members made a halt to their movement; their leg dangled in the air.
Kibum made his way past the youngest, their shoulders roughly bumped one another. He stood in front of the leader with his arms crossed over his chest. His cat-like eyes glared at his lover.
Jinki gulped for air, remembering to keep his left leg in the air. He did not dare move an inch with that deathly gaze on him. He watched his boyfriend crouch down, swatting his aching leg away. Then, when he decided it was safe, he bent down beside the other. Without thinking, Jinki pulled his lover's furry hood over his damp hair. “What's wrong Bum?”
The boy with multicoloured hair remained silent to his question.
The elder had noticed the other had picked up a black clump from the pavement and was now admiring it. The pair of cat-like eyes were no longer threatening but rather gentle. Jinki was drowned in his lover's glimmering eyes. The smile that played on the rapper's rosy lips was enough to brighten the gloomy day. And- despite the fact he had probably thought this over a million times, he was glad that Kibum was all his.
“You almost killed our baby!” The younger one blurted out loudly. His warm fingers wiped away the stray rain drops from Jinki's blushed cheek.
“What? O-our baby?!?”
Kibum raised the black lump at their eye-level. His slender index finger poked it and grinned. “Our baby.”
“Oh...” The other scratched the back of his head, trying to figure out what it truly was. “That thing...”
“Our baby boy is so cute!” Kibum took his lover's cold hands in one hand and their baby in the other. The two made their way to their van. “I need to buy a big tank for him and maybe even some decorations! He can sleep beside our bed! Oh, and what do you think snails like to eat or-”
Jinki planted a chaste kiss on his Kibum's thin lips. The rant had stopped and instead a shy grin was drawn. It was hard to resist and hence Jinki smiled along.
Maybe... Rainy days were not as bad as he thought, as long as there were Kibum and their baby snail.
