While the very idea of public funding for faith-based schools irks me to my very core, when I heard John Tory talk about it, there's actually a lot of sense in his stance. By being part of the public system, that means that these schools have to teach the Ontario curriculum, hire fully accredited Ontario teachers, and partake in the same student ( Read more... )

In browsing Facebook, I have come across a few groups that help better explain the proposed Mixed Member Proportional system that is being proposed in the upcoming provincial election. I mentioned how 90 MPPs will be elected the tradional way, but that an additional 39 MPPs will be chosen from a list to bring the proportion of party seats as equal ( Read more... )

So, NATO want's good ol' Canada to stay in Afghanistan past 2009. The way I see it, NATO can go fuck themselves.
