Turning over a new snowflake

I'm attempting to post more. There, I said it. Watch me fail miserably or make everyone wish I'd stuck to quarterly picspams. :P ::nominates self early for Boringest Posts awards ( Read more... )

Cat spillover in aisle five.

Grape-nuts pie? Nooooo.

I made an apple pie today. Am now totally exhausted.

It's so hard being a kitty! And the pumpkin mostly overpowers the Grape-Nuts, but it's...new.

Dude, apple pie is way more work than pumpkin-from-a-can, so I sympathize--plus you have pie! That's much better than being exhausted from doing something that doesn't involve pie. :}

I thought somehow that using a pre-made frozen crust would make it less work. And obviously it was less work than it would have been, but omg, 3 lbs is a pile of apples to peel and chop. (I think the recipe assumed I'd have smaller apples, because the pile of apples was so big I barely got the top crust down over it, and that was after rolling it out a little.)

Good point! It was also the first pie I've ever made that didn't require cooking twice as long as the recipe said, so bonus there.

Having made an apple pie and the crusts recently, cutting the apples up is easily the most work. I just toss the crust ingredients in my mixer, and roll it out. Peeling apples takes forever. :P I actually have one of those apple peeling contraptions with the crank handle, but, while it works really slickly, it cuts the apples very thinly and I wanted bigger chunks for the pie. So I feel you, heh. ;D

Yay for the pie cooking right! No one wants to wait for pie! (Except me apparently because I keep forgetting them in the oven longer than I was supposed to...)

You are now making me want an apple pie. Also with a chocolate pie

Also your cat is awesome. She's like "I don't care if im on the frigde or am spilling out my bed, I am going to sleep".And my cat Janye looks exactly like that, but he is smaller and younger and more crazier.

Oh, yum, those two pies would complement each other nicely! :D

She's only got the one back foot, and I swear she was just trying to take up as much room as possible. She gets very snooty when she's up high. ;D And Janye sounds adorable. I like crazy on a kitty. *g*

Jayne is adorable and crazy and runs like a rat but I swear he doesn't grow. Or I haven't seen him grow. In the beginning though my mom used to tell me that Jayne's a girl name. She stopped once I made her watch Serenity.

Heee, I love that you converted your mom to his name with Serenity! :D

SO UNTRUE. I have it on good authority (my own) that each Dualbunny post makes the world a better place!

I love Lily's stretchy-sleep pose!

Ha! You all only think that because I never post. And I usually hide behind kitties. And y'know, I will probably continue to do that, so nevermind.

I fully support the DB-posts-more initiative. I am happy to hear about pie (or even Grape Nuts!) at any time, especially when illustrated with adorable cat pictures.

In conclusion: ♥

Hee, well, we shall see. After all I could post once a week and be doing *awesome* compared to my last couple of years. ;D Just seems unfair that I expect everyone else to make the internet entertaining. *g* If everyone posted like me, I'd need a much much bigger f-list to make it through the day.
