Did you know if you make whole wheat pie crust dough and leave half of it in the fridge since Thanksgiving, that when you finally decide to bake it, it'll taste like Grape-Nuts? Trufax. It's disturbing, because pie is not supposed to taste like healthfood.
I realized by it's darker color that perhaps this was no regular pie crust dough anymore, and I used it to make a pumpkin pie with a can of organic pie filling that I bought last ThxGving. That's not the pie I *wanted* to make, but

"Intimidate Your Not-In-Laws Pear-Pomegranate Pie" recipe deserves to be tried out with a fresh crust. Though, I am considering trying apples instead of pears. The texture would be wrong, but the apples I have stored from my tree aren't going to last much longer. And, what, worst case I have to make a *second pie* with pears? (Win-win!)
Also, you guys with the snowflake cookies are dolls. *G* ::squishes you guys:: LJ's starting to look just like outside, only the snowflakes here are sparklier. And they're making me crave exactly that kind of frosted, decorated sugar cookie. The ones with the perfectly dense, sweet cookie and the crunchy-hard glossy frosting. The kind I would have a *blast* making for my whole F-list in fandom/interest appropriate shapes. Or maybe I would just make you all kitty-shaped cookies so that I could decorate them in every kind of kitty-color-pattern I could come up with.
If only my days had something like 50 or so hours in them, and the Post Office was more dependable. And of course there's the risk I would eat half of each batch before I could send them. ^_^
Talking about pie makes Lily so bored her bed can't even contain her sleepiness.
