Been so busy watching and critiquing in vids in an attempt to learn more about them for my own budding attempts, that I haven't done much of anything else. Although, I have been doggedly ripping and converting s3 eps off my DVDs for source throughout the day, letting the stuff just run in the background on the computer ( Read more... )

I'm a quasi-scientist. I actually planned on going into biotech, but I was seduced back into the arms of the art department before I finished college. My job is sort of a compromise between the two. I work for an online educational game called the Virtual Cell. I just got promoted to Graphics Manager (*snort* entertaining idea all by itself* ;) ), and what I do is make 3-D models and animations of whatever cellular process the professors in charge decide is going to compose the newest level of the game. The project is grant funded and I actually work for the university that I graduated from last spring--plus they let me do a lot of my work from home (--see: vidding at the same time as working *g*). I also put in some overtime on another project that is currently applying for a grant from the NSF called Native Dancer. It's a game along the lines of DDR and is aimed at helping Native American children become more active, learn about powwow dancing, and hopefully help stop, or at least control, the growing diabetes problem among ( ... )

I'm a biochemistry-leaning chemist. Fun. All about the mRNA at the moment. Yours sounds like much more fun, though right now I can't imagine anything being *less* fun than what I'm supposed to be dong! Okay, back to work!

you could always print off your live journal entries and paste them into your journals at home. it might even give them a cool, um, cut-and-paste effect. heh.

I think LJ is a funny animal, and there's probably a good application of the phrase that it becomes what you make of it....but that's a little deep and daunting for my Pizza Hut-addled brain right now. So what I really want to say is: welcome, and I'm glad you're here!
