I'm not reading your post, but I have to say 'ditto'. I'm on the west coast, so it's always painfully obvious when something has happened. Then again, I usually forget to watch HIMYM, since I only watch it occasionally, but I know I better tune in tonight. :)
This kind of thing makes me pretty angry -- so much that I'm not watching the episode right now [I already downloaded it], because I *know* I won't enjoy it while I'm feeling like this. Fucking people.
I hate when people do that. Even though I can in theory watch live east-coast-feed US tv, I often watch stuff on tivo-delay because I have other commitments that interfere with watching it live. And then I glance at LJ, and get spoiled! I also got spoiled for a British TV show recently because someone didn't think she needed to cut her season finale reaction. *sigh*
I miss Buffyverse fandom. People were really courteous with episode reviews.
I don't understand why people can't hold their squee for 2 seconds to write down nondescript subject and cut text. I don't mind 30 consecutives posts about an episode -- all that tells me is that it was a GOOD ep. But when the squee starts outside the cut then it's extremely easy to guess what's going on. GAH.

Except I've been spoiled for every single issue of the Buffy and Angel comics. :(
I noticed that-- I totally made sure to use a generic cut-tag and not use a mood icon or anything, and I've seen at least two people on my FL allude to what happened without any kind of cut. I'm lucky I get to watch it live, but seriously, rude much??
I understand the excitement, I really do. But is it so that hard to contain it for the two seconds it takes to write a nondescript cut-tag?! For fuck's sake, a little consideration, that's all I ask.
Yeah, I'm not watching this episode anytime soon. :( I can't stand to be spoiled for sitcoms. It's already hard for me to find one that I like; but if I know what's gonna happen? I don't even see the point in watching it.
Oh, jeez. I'm sorry that you got spoiled! I don't watch the show, I have no clue, but I really wish it hadn't happened this way for you and that people had been a little more thoughtful.
Thanks! I've been noticing lately that spoiler etiquette has gone completely down the drain on LJ. I've been consistently getting spoiled for things that I would NEVER be spoiled for a couple of years ago. And I don't know what the hell is going on, because it's not new people doing it. It sucks. :(
