Yeah, it was pretty obvious what happened on the ep from people's reactions outside the cut. I even saw something like "finally", which, COME ON. Ugh.

I had been noticing that people were getting really lax about saying uncut things about this show, but since nothing big had happened, and I didn't think anything would yet, I wasn't too worried. Now I wish I'd taken a moment to remind people that there are a lot of us who don't always get to see it in real time. Too late. It's funny the way people seem to treat spoiler courtesy differently for different shows.

SERIOUSLY? Ambigious flailing is bad enough, but you might as well come right out and SAY IT if you're going to say THAT. Yeesh. It's too bad. It would have been fun to watch this one and not know what was coming. Though I am still excited just for the guest star (which I see you're already spoiled about from your comment below).

At least my complaining worked -- a bunch of posts on my flist have been edited since I posted. But I think I'm gonna start yet another spoiler discussion sometime soon, because lately I've been seeing spoilers EVERYWHERE around LJ.

It would have been fun to watch this one and not know what was coming.

Oh yeah. I've seen the ep by now, but I definitely feel robbed of the experience of being surprised.

I am waiting to watch HIMYM until tomorrow. My roommate and I watch together and she couldn't be here tonight; so yep, like you I am sure I know what happens and I am pissed.

I really get everyone's excitement, I've been there before. But for some reason fandom's been really sloppy with the spoilers lately and that kinda sucks. And I know I sometimes slip too [thankfully people call me on it!], but tonight was pretty ridiculous. GAH.

This icon will never go away. :)

Gahh, I'm sorry that you got spoiled. Nowadays, the only episode reaction I'll post is SPN, but I try to keep the subject and cuts to just the title, otherwise I feel bad (and redundant, hah) about going "EEEE!" so often. But that sucks indeed. (Hell, even I got spoiled, and I don't watch the show. One day though!)

I don't know what's going on re: spoilers. This past week I got spoiled for two shows [aside from today!], one of which I don't even watch, and now I'm wondering if people are just not caring about it anymore. Gah.

Same here. I was going to go to bed early but once I checked out my friends list (when I got home from work, some two hours before the show airs here) I saw all the posts and figured out I better watch it tonight.

I was reading the flist to kill time while the episode was downloading. GAH. I just didn't imagine I'd be spoiled for a show like HIMYM, you know? Oh well. Now I know better and have a new flist filter to read on Monday nights.
