and climb high to the highest rung to shake fists at the sky

Story time, because I'm waiting for the office to email me back on a couple of things and, since therealmarajade and tatileite have been chatting about where they are on their SG-1 watch via email, I figured I should post my How SG-1 Took Over my Life in February 2007 story for eventual proof of insanity posterity:

Tissa + Stargate SG-1 + Statistics )

I actually prefer to watch TV shows in big marathons than keep up weekly. I mean, I can't do much of that on weekdays, but if I have a weekend to myself, I'll usually stock up the house and just veg out in front of the TV. :)

I had a dream the other night I bought more SG-1 DVDs. Hee.

Also, I think your weather and my weather should meet inbetween and give us something nice. We're in the middle of another snowstorm here. Since last Saturday, we've gotten crazy snows at least three times, and we're supposed to get more this weekend. It's nuts.

HEE. You know, you can download all of SG-1 instead of buying it if you'd like. There are a couple of people who just posted *the whole series* in the usual places.

And because this always shocks you snow people: I have never EVER seen snow in my life. :)

See, the thing is, I CAN buy it, and I SHOULD, because I keep buying these really ridiculous TV shows that are bad and pointless. I just need to be reminded of it when I'm in a buying mood. I need to keep checking Amazon for them to have one of their crazy sales. (Which is how I recently got my new DVD fix -- they had a bunch of seasons of things for $15, and I couldn't say no.) Next time I get the urge to buy really bad television, I'll stop myself and look into some SG-1 instead.

And... wow! No snow ever! Considering that up here we get dumped with it for, like, six months of the year, that is shocking. :) Snow can be pretty... but I bet it's prettier where you live, anyway. (Also, snow's only fun for about the first month. After that it's unending and sad.)

Hee. I know what you mean. I've got a bunch of TV seasons around that I didn't have the need to have, but they were so cheap I just couldn't help myself. *g*

Here is indeed pretty, but the heat can be unbearable -- here in Rio particularly, there are exactly two seasons: Summer, which lasts about 8 months and Not-so-much-Summer-but-still-kinda-warm, which is June-September.

6.9 eps per day

wow, impressive! that's pretty much my average for Bones S1. I'm intending to watch S2 in only one day, let's see how it goes, hee!

I've tried the one-season-one-day thing a couple of times, but it turns out that I end up forgetting *everything* about the episodes in the middle.

I'm better with half a season a day -- that's how I watched SG-1, Bones S1, all of House, most of NCIS, and so on. :)

I *think* the Kowalski episode is called Enemy Within.

I miss Kowalski. And Daniel Jackson.

I just watched 6x15, and surprisingly enough, I think I will miss Maybourne. Granted, I still think he is a bastard, but he turned out to be that kind of bastard who knows some good stuff that can help the good guys and even though he rubs on Jack the wrong way, their interaction is always fun!

*ahem*

When does Daniel returns? Abyss wasn't enough! AND I think I know why you hated him - but it was OBVIOUS to me that he was the one who helped Sam and the other to come up with a way to help Jack!

Yeah, I think I like calling it "the Kowalsky ep" better. *g*

Hint: Maybourne isn't gone forever.

Daniel is back for good in the first ep of S7, but he still shows up in a couple eps of S6. Not counting Thor, that is.

Also -- he *never* appeared to Sam [plus, I read all the books that deal with Abyss, and it's made clear in them that Daniel had *nothing* to do with Jack's rescue. He just sat back and watched]. It's the one other BIG reason I hate him so much during S6. Especially because when Sam finally sees him in Full Circle, he's a complete dick to her.

What made you forgive him, then??

In the books, Daniel realizes he was wrong in not helping Jack escape from Ba'al, and he feels REALLY awful about it. aAnd then he talks to Jack about it -- well, as much as one can talk to *Jack* about stuff like this. *g* After that, I was okay with Daniel.

Every. single. actor. in Vancouver was on XF and/or SG-1 before doing the shows that came later on.

I wonder...what do a cylon and replicator child is called? XD

A psychiatrist's dream? *g*

I know, you told me that before, but it's fun looking for them and pointing them out! :P
