Story time, because I'm waiting for the office to email me back on a couple of things and, since
therealmarajade and
tatileite have been chatting about where they are on their SG-1 watch via email, I figured I should post my How SG-1 Took Over my Life in February 2007 story for eventual proof of insanity posterity:
Tissa + Stargate SG-1 + Statistics
Marcele and I bought the first season of Stargate SG-1 on Marcia's birthday -- there's proof, even, because we did it while
mass-commenting. Those are in Portuguese, sorry about that. The gist of the conversation: T: SG-1 S1 is cheap!
M: Let's buy it!
T: Ok, done!
M: OMG, me too!
T: What if we hate it?
M: Then we hit each other over the head for being stupid!
T: Gratuitous violence, yay!
That was a Thursday. My boxset was delivered early afternoon the following Saturday, January 6, when I watched the pilot and the Kowalsky episode that one day I'll learn the name and stop calling "the Kowalsky episode".
It took me 20 days to finish watching the first season -- I was done with it late January 26, and I even
posted about it.
So far, nothing even remotely interesting -- I mean, 20 days to watch a single TV season is kinda of REALLY SLOW for moi. But now comes the CRAZY:
I watched the following SEVEN SEASONS [S2 to S8] between January 26 and February 16. I'm a bit fuzzy about the last few days of watching the show, but I know I went to the beach for Carnival having finished S8. I posted about watching Grace-Chimera-Fallout-Death Knell-Heroes on the morning of the 15th. We hit the road early morning on the 17th. It's possible I didn't sleep those last 48 hours. Heh.
Truth is I don't even remember doing *anything else* those first 2 weeks in February. I my defense, I was on vacation from job #2 and working minimum possible hours for job #1. Still --
Statistics:
S1: 22 eps in 20 days: 1.1 ep per day.
S2-S8: 152 eps in 22 days: 6.9 eps per day.
*takes a bow*
:)

In other news, if
it gets any hotter things are gonna start randomly exploding. Stupid weather.
