Live Free or Die Hard Fic: National Pastime (1/2)

Mar 24, 2009 08:50

Many thanks to lamardeuse and missmollyetc for beta, and for not finding my Die Hard story about baseball patently ridiculous.

McClane/Farrell. NC-17. 13,288 words.
"Nothing like the upper deck at Shea in July," McClane said, in a hearty, two-working-legs, not-even-wearing-a-sling-anymore kind of voice that made Matt want to punch him a little bit.

Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying the fic! That transition is supposed to be a little disorienting - Matt's a little disoriented, because he's been remembering - so that's why I did it that way.

Ok, that's cool, from my point of view it was like I got jerked out of the fic going what the heck did he like kidnap him from the hospital, oh wait duh they're in the ball park?

p.s. warning i've been awake over 24 hours if that made no sense I can't quite be held reponsible

"...McClane was watching too, one hand in a fist like if that plane didn't land safely he'd kick its ass"

Haha- oh wow. A loud and unexpected burst of laughter escaped me when I read that.

Thank you! The humor often sneaks up on me while I'm writing, too.

Thank you! The whole idea of people having to cope with the damaged and lost infrastructure was a big part of what lured me to the movie and the fandom, so I really liked exploring that, and I'm glad it worked for you.
