Splendour in the Grass 2006 -- Byron Bay

Over two, wet exhausting days, a small boatload of bands completely rocked Byron Bay. It was muddy, it was damp, it was exhilirating. Looks awesome. I'd love to have gone, or to have seen some sideshows here in Melbourne but we're heading to the UK in September so I'm poor at the moment!
BTW, what you've labelled a bass recorder in the photos is actually a tenor (music geek here). :D

Well, the actual acts are all under tents, so that area was not too bad. It was only going from tent to tent where you had to brave the ooze. Getting from Something for Kate to Mogwai I was in a hurry and had to go wading at one point. My boots are completely coated in muddiness.
