CHRIST, that was fast! Ok, it's not like it'd take a long time to read, but still...

And yeah, Ray's my mouthpiece here too :D

And since I doubt anyone in my family has much of an idea about the whole prop 8 crap (we live in England), I had to vent somehow.

I love Ray's prickly anger in response to Prop 8 - it captures the way a lot of us probably feel, even though we're not American :-) And I really like that Fraser is the voice of reason here, and seeks to remind Ray that America isn't a bigoted country - it's simply run by bigots some of the time. The end bit with the ring-twisting was wonderful. And I loved the line about, "Well, Ray, it's only one of your countries..."

Thanks :D I deleted this from ds_flashfiction, mainly because two places is enough, really :D. I didn't know if everything HAD to be a response to a challenge. Guess I shoulda checked...

And yeah, the journal link thing is a good idea. I now feel kinda stupid for not thinking of that that.

Thanks. The whole Fraser being for voice of reason FOR America felt a bit weird when I was writing it, so I'm glad it worked out. The whole America isn't full of bigots, just run by them, is an argument I have with myself all the time :D

Yeah, I live in England, so it's legal here too. Which is mainly why I wrote this, since none of my friends or colleagues or anyone had any idea about it and I couldn't rant at them :D

Also, is Scotland the same as England with Civil Union laws, or is it actual marriage?
