Title: Five Confessions Author: kindkit Pairing: Ray K./Fraser Rating: NC-17 Summary: Ray really needs to tell somebody. Notes: This is a little rougher than I'd like, but I wanted to get it posted before the challenge closes.
I am just fucking stunned, this is so good. The hurt of it is like really good poetry-and I haven't had enough sleep in days, so I can only hope this is somewhat coherent-with a kind of sweet pain that really hits the spot when you're having a crappy week. I light a candle at my non-denominational altar to worship you.
I'm happy for Ray. And happy for Fraser. But for the Priest i'm feeling sorry. He seems to be a nice man and he loves someone but can't have this love fulfilled. God wishes for his children to love each other and yet is this kind of it wrong? That's more than sad. Anyway: A real good Story. Very emotional and well thought out.
Ray'll miss Chicago, but that can be his penance, on the days when he needs one. His conscience is bound to nag him sometimes. If he starts to feel really bad about not telling, he'll just work that much harder at keeping Fraser happy.
And you just know that it's another good intention and that it is still going to eat Ray up inside...

That's certainly a possibility, although I really do think/hope that they're going to be okay. And if Ray hurts . . . well, it's not like he doesn't deserve to. :-)
Oh wow. I'm so in love with this fic. I just know it's one of those I'm going to have to read again and again.
I do feel sad for Fraser and Ray, but while it might not be perfect, life isn't perfect and they do have each other. It's the priest that really got me...
This is beautifully written, so intense and... and it rings so true. You've made them real people with real problems, and I think that makes me love them more.
Yup. Much as I love them and want them to have a happily-ever-after ending, I don't think their lives are going to be problem-free. And so I got to thinking about long-distance relationships (which is something I could see them trying) and how difficult those can be, and . . .

Me too. I really wanted him to be a (somewhat) sympathetic character, so I'm glad you liked him.
