This is what I love about DS. Even in my least favourite eps (possibly bar ATQH) there are things to look for and like.

However Ray doesn't and oh so subtly diverts her attack on Benny back to her with her her untidy shirt and smirk letting her and everyone in the room know that she's been caught.

I love the way he does that. As you say it's subtle but it gets his oint across she really shouldn't be tlsking to Bwnny like that when she has been so unprofessional herself.

when she in the scene as Benton's adversary, she works so much better for me than that version she becomes later.

I agree her I prefer her when she is more of a tough boss than a simpering schoolgirl as she can be in some eps. And I never got the 'sexual tension' either.
