This 'essay' actually came about from reading comments by people in relation to another character from another show but I thought it illustrated the point that people form different groups will look for characters on TV that share their tendencies. We'll be winding down a bit over the next month or so but before then I thought I'd post this.
It's already been in my journal but I'm posting here for reference.

Some comments by scotchsour have led me to thinking about the marriages of the Vecchio
siblings, who married first and when those marriages took place.
