In fanfic we see Fraser drink a lot of tea, but how much is this a reflection of canon?

I think he drinks either as it is available; plus, with his sense of smell, he can probably tell when a beverage has been ruined. Something else to consider: tea is a lot easier to backpack into the back of beyond than coffee.

I agree I don't think he's particularly fussy. And of course I hadn't realised that out in the middle of nowhere tea is easier to deal with.
