What I did on my summer vacation, with pictures

Last summer there was of course a Fourth of July. We went to a friend's house for a picnic and to watch the fireworks more or less from their front lawn. Unfortunately the fireworks weren't very good so I expect this year we'll go back to one of the better local town shows. We still have this theory of taking the kids ( Read more... )

Graveyard photography and iconography is one of my hobbies. Actually, hazy overcast days are the best time to photograph stones. You don't get harsh shadows or glare that makes it hard to read the stones. The real trick is knowing when to force a flash.

Love Cape Cod - I spent a few years working King Richard's Faire in the autumn, and lived in Onset. Such a lovely place!
