Yeah, I saw those the other day. Not impressed. I expect we'll see them on the fashion runways within a couple years, because someone will want to make a statement. :P

I *love, love, LOVE* my new stompy boots that I bought at the thrift store! THey're very comfortable (surprise!) and they support my ankles as well. Have been wearing them everywhere. Wore my new sweater today. Wind was blowing and little spits of snow were about. Got lots of envious compliments on the sweater. :D Have several folks ready to make a pilgramage to Dallas to hit the thrift stores for good winter clothes. :D

Am making pretty good progress on a variety of costumes, but Lee's needs to be finished up first. Will probably have to put it on hold (again) tomorrow as new baby is due and I may have Sid Vicious until his little brother comes along (Megan is being induced tomorrow with the possibility of a c-section due to potential complications). Bought some Meron makeup and have ordered more colours. I love buying local when I can. :D

I havent made any progress on any costumes. Yeah, those shoes are not useful in any way other than to make a statement. Even if I could managed to scoot or shuffle in them, I would clock my head on door jams and hanging lamps.

yay for thrift store boots! Yay for the sweater. Yes, Dallas gets lots of good winter clothing, we just dont wear much of it or the really thick ones.

Oh they are amazing, and an accurate comment on standards of beauty required

These are "art shoes", and I can't see how anyone can do anything in them- no dancing, driving, commuting, shopping...

But then again, if one can afford them and wear them, one has house elves to do all the work.

They honestly scare me but I can see them working as an artsy fartsy project.
