the boys out and about, and going home for xmas

Dec 19, 2008 17:33

I was rewatching last week's Live at the Apollo (the episode from Friday, with Sean Lock and Jason Manford), and spotted Bradley James in the crowd :D Made me grin rather a lot lol, he seems to like getting his BBC free tickets.

I've put the (not great quality) screencap under a cut, to save spamming the flists too much lol.

I don't think I understood why she was wearing the chicken suit at the time, let alone now when my memory of the play's faded. The song she did wearing it was really good though :)

Yay for the lack of lameness, although tbh I wouldn't much care if it was lame :P

I miss the Dawn French days of the Terry's Chocolate Orange adverts
They're not Terry's they're mine!
I used to love those ads

They were some great ads :) Adverts are never as good these days as they were in the late 80s and the 90s...

I used to love the Smiths Crisps ad where the potatoes would sing
We wanna be smiths crisps we wanna be smiths crisps!

Or the Soft mints ad where the man was all soft like a teddy, and the Dime bar ad with the Armadillo crunchy on the outside smooth in the middle!

I need to go on you tube and find them now

I don't remember the Smiths crisps ads (actually don't remember Smiths crisps - do they still make them?) but the softmints ad was really cool and Dime bars are so awesome that even if the ad had been bad, they'd still pick up cool points :P

Lol all hail YouTube :P

When I first heard the words "Colin, pantomine, cat" I expected a skin-tight furry... well, catsuit... and my imagination ran away with me (much more of this and it'll be wearing blue at London 2012) so I confess the trenchcoat was initially disappointing.

But the ears and tail drove me unexpectedly bananas. Why is it he just looks adorkable in *anything*?

I have to admit though, if he wants to be guesting in my dreams tonight, he'll be in that bloody catsuit. With the ears.

I was sort of expecting a catsuit or something too, actually, but I think it was more wishful thinking and the hope that the costume department for the panto would fancy him as much as we do :P

I did rather like the trenchcoat though, there was something about it... ;) Definitely loved the tail (which was making me think of the fanon Merlin!tail bruceybabe invented and a few others among us have appropriated lol) and weirdly, the make up... cat noses and whiskers shouldn't be hot, but on Colin, they really were.

I imagine if he is guesting in your dreams, the catsuit will come off fairly quickly ;)

I guess they just weren't as keen on his hipbones as we are... oh well, more for us :) I did like the magician trenchcoat in the end though - it had grown on me by the endless-hankie trick :p

Oh, he can keep that cute makeup on.... and as for the dreams, it depends how easy access the catsuit is. I might just have to rip it :D

You think you were disappointed? I expected him to be on all four. X"D But I loved him every sec that he was on. If it's just the bias, it seems to be a wonderfully universal bias. Damnit, how is he so freaking adorable? Also, when Paul says he could do with a bit of lubrication and Colin so naturally opens his coat and digs in. I. Died. Laughing. Seriously. XD So all in all, I had no complaints about the trenchcoat.

Plus, you know. I keep thinking about Bradley trying to decide on whether to tease Colin to death about the whole thing or work it into their fore play...

Also, Julian Clary. Wow, it has been yeeeeeears since I have seen him and it is good to see he still is fab.

Lol what do you mean? Because it said 'Bradley at LATA'? Were you inventing your own acronyms or is that a joke I'm just not getting? :P

Thanks, and merry christmas to you too. I daresay I'll be back on LJ before then anyway lol.

Oh no sorry, it was just a silly thing that happend when i read it fast. Lata in spanish means CAN. And there's an expression (dar la lata) dive the can (lol, sound so stupid like that lol) that means " to be a nuisance" so, somehow, when fast reading i just thought of bradley being annoting or sth (which could... fit lol) and see? silly. it just was funny in the momment i guess xD

♥ well, then if you are back i'll say so again then LOL

Oh right, lol that IS funny :D I bet he's deliberately annoying IRL, rather than one of those people that just irritate you without reason. If that makes sense, lol I'm rambling a bit here :P

Awesome :D I'll likely make a 'merry christmas' post on xmas eve anyway :)

Lol you know I'm sharing your brain already :P I watched the Midnight episode of Doctor Who today too, and kept shouting 'COLIN!' at the screen lol. Funny how it never gets old. I could look at him 24/7 and not get bored.

Hehe, I like the new chocolate orange ad too, but I miss the Dawn French ones anyway. She's awesome anyway :D
I also like the new Celebrations advert, but couldn't find a video anywhere.

I may end up texting you on the train tomorrow lol :P I've sent some of my cards, writing the rest this evening.
*is excited*
