Can't believe I'm such a slacker. Sorry about that, folks.
I did, indeed, go as "Act III Penny" for Halloween. Very, very fun. It's really amazing what you can do with Wal-Mart clothes, Target shoes, a pirate gun, some hot glue and acrylic paint.

Yepper. Got it at the local costume shop, took it apart so I wouldn't stomp on the noismaker, and broke it into pieces.

The hardest part was firuging out how to make a pirate gun look convincingly like pieces of a death ray...

Unfortunately not! I was going to have a Captain Hammer to weep over my lifeless corpse, but he elected to instead be the Joker from Dark Knight for Halloween (which meant an hour or two of make-up and another elaborate costume).

Here in Minnesota, we have this thing called "Bedrace for Bridging," in which you race down a hill on queen-sized mattresses in teams of 4-8. There's a costume contest every year, and I'm trying to talk my team into going as Joss Whedon characters. So maybe I'll have a Hammer and a Horrible then.
