Having had the actual, honest-to-Mergatroid flu in 2000* (and yes, I remember it because I thought I was going to die from meningitis), I can fully support getting the vaccine.... anything to mitigate those horrible, debilitating symptoms is worth it.

*Yes it was a long time ago, but it was extermely memorable. I was so sick.

Out of curiosity, if you have a 50-ish male patient with weight and sinus problems, who has idiopathic scarring of the right lung and a history of chest infections with any upper respiratory infection, would you recommend at least looking into a flu vaccination?

Got mine. Husband got his. Baby is getting her second dose Monday.

May have facepalmed a little when a friend who insisted that it made her really sick every time finally mentioned that she is in fact allergic to eggs, though not to the level of anaphylaxis.
