I already have a computer dedicated to my TV running Boxee, and Front Row. (It's an Apple Mini) HOWEVER this could be epic.

So how does it record the latest episodes of the tv shows you watch? Does it get them off something like Hulu or the network's own sites?

Well I don't have cable service or satellite service. I ditched paying for TV 3 years ago.
Everything I watch is either on Hulu, fancast, or netflix. I use an application called Plex on my mac, http://www.plexapp.com/ to hook into online media. Sometimes I purchase season on iTunes but that's rare.

I do have a HD antenna for over the air HD but I need to get it on my roof. It's been sitting there for the last year ready to go up. Once it does it will be connecting to an Elgato eye system to record and will be watched via plex or their live app.

(oh and all this is stored on a 1TB external hard drive.)
