Captain's Log: Star Date ...um.... 10.

Dec 31, 2010 21:11

Wow, I'm not even going to look at the last time I posted here. I'm sure it was years and years ago. If you follow alswaiter, you may have seen bits and pieces of my life. I'll try to fill you in a bit more.

Two years' worth of posts. Two very busy years. Seriously, it's long. )

DREW! I've missed you! *hugs*
Wow, sounds like y'all have really been through the ringer. But thank God indeed for His timing and provision and strength, and I'm so glad the new year is looking up. :) Blessings to you and yours!

Rosie! *tackle* Hi! That was a quick response! Do you stalk LJ? ;)

It really does feel like I've lived five or six years all squashed into two. I've missed you, too.

What are you doing home New Year's Eve? Want to join me watching RotK, drinking bubbly grape juice and eating Doritos with chopsticks (so I don't get the keyboard all crumby)?

Ha! No, I just happened to check my friends page right after you posted. :)

Well, I'll pass on the Doritos and juice (I'll have some cherry 7-Up instead!), but I might put on ROTK here in a bit because I'm writing a silly movie-verse crossover for one of the comms I'm in. :) Most of my friends are out of town still. I'd thought about trying to go to a Watch Night service, but I haven't been feeling great today and there's a cold front coming through, so I decided to stay home and write fic.

After NaNoWriMo, I caught the 'must be writing in my spare time' bug, but can't stand to see the file from my novel open in the tabs - I still have irrational anger towards it, so now is not the time to start editing! I actually dug out some previously assumed-dead files and started working on them. Also, AW was visiting over Christmas, and we have plans to resurrect a few stories and collaborations as well as a complete overhaul of LotM.

Stay tuned to this channel for more information as it occurs. :D

No, no I don't want any fruitcake. :P

Part of me wishes I had read this just because I think I blocked most of it because you moving was pretty traumatic, but the other part of me feels this just reinforces how much we need to get out. Company politics *are* toxic. I want my husband back, too!! And my Drew. Definitely want my Drew back.

And by "had read," I really mean "hadn't."
