Most impossible Coat Ever

I'm tired of buying presents for family since I never know what to get them anyways. So I'm making a winter coat for my brother since he doesn't have one.

He wants something like this:

You might find the fabric at a kilt/tartan supply store/web site in pure wool of the correct weight.

I did find it on one site but it was about $70 a yard. I'll keep looking for it. He can have a second coat out of it if we can find one he likes. The black/grey will give him a nice coat to wear for dressier occasions.

did you look at denver fabrics? I saw a nice red and ivory plaid there, at $14/yard.

I did look at Denver Fabrics. It's where I got the red and black plaid swatch from but it was sold out and they won't get anymore. Light colors aren't any good with either of us. We have a tendency to get it stained.
