"Savior" is very religious, isn't it? Yeah, the characters spend a lot of time saving people, but the connotation of "savior" goes way beyond mere rescue and into Messiah territory. I can't imagine how it could be used as a prompt, save in a religious--and specifically Christian--sense.

Hm, I don't really take it that way -- obviously that's one connotation, but I've certainly heard/read it used in non-religious ways. "Salvation" doesn't have to be spiritual/religious.

I did debate between "savior" and "saved" (or some variant thereof); would that be preferable?

I've never heard or read the word "savior" used in a sense that didn't involve Jesus. I've heard "salvation" used in a hyperbolic sense of being rescued from certain doom--but again, the religious connotations are definitely there.

Maybe "save" would work. There are a lot of different uses for "save." Or "holiday," if you want to be topical.

I've been thinking about this all evening, and I've talked to a number of people about it. Everyone I've talked to agrees that "savior" does not have to have a religious connotation. Capitalized, yes, but lower case, no.

I'm going to leave the prompt as-is. Remember that you're free to interpret the prompts however you like -- some people may decide to look at in a religious light while others don't. Obviously, if it doesn't speak to you, you don't have to use it. That's part of why we have two prompts for each month. :)
