what a long strange trip it's been...
Today The Boy is thirteen!
We rang in the birthday at a midnight showing of The Lightning Thief with several of his friends (and a whole gaggle of girls from his school that we ran into at the Drafthouse). As to the long-awaited movie, eh, the effects were pretty good and the kids liked it but it's really slow for an action/adventure road movie.
