I think my English-speaking friends ought to know this, it may make them laugh.
Consider the title 'Watership Down'. It seems to have given a strong headache to generations of Russian translators. Here are some nice title variants to choose from:

The Ship Hills: Well, 'water'+'ship' equals 'ship'... kind of. :)
The Inhabitants of Hills: Get

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Falls off chair! :-) Herself also gets cross when we go to my home county as she thinks they should be called the "South Ups" not the South Downs! And I recall pennypaperbrain was at one point most indignant that I kept trying to drag her up the perlious heights of Brighton, only to then go down the other side.

I thought that was hilarious! It's the best collection of bloopers of its kind, even better than the various attempts at tackling LOTR. This title is just one big translator trap.

That's hillarious. :) Can they just not leave "Watership" in English, since it's a proper name!

Some of them did. There is one correct one, something like 'Watership Hill'. But they still thought that 'down' was some kind of recess or lowland.
