We had great weather this past weekend on Cape Cod, but we really didn't do that much while we were there. Mostly because we will be back in just a couple of days. The sleep deprivation caught up with me this morning - slept through the alarm (or don't remember hearing it and turning it off) and rolled out of bed an hour later than usual. Had the hardest time falling asleep last night. Wound up finally crawling into bed close to 1 AM this morning and that alarm came awful early at 4:45. There were a few times at work that I felt my energy drop enough where my eyelids felt heavy, but managed to stay reasonably awake and alert. Was forced to take an alternate route on the walk with Diana this morning. As we got close to making our turn onto Wildwood Road, I noticed someone following our usual course and veered off as both dogs were close to straining at the end of their leashes and could not have that continue for the duration. Diana has been acting very strangely today. Perhaps it was the full moon, or maybe because there was a lunar eclipse this morning that I knew nothing about until someone at work asked me if I had seen it. It has been quite some time since I've had any real problems with either arthritic foot - the daily walks seem to have been adding some strength, even the long ones taken on weekends have not caused any long-lasting pain or discomfort. Plans for any activities were curtailed by a sore back and a pounding headache when I woke up this morning. Still managed to take Diana for a walk but it was shorter than usual for the weekend. It was also very humid, since the dog was panting more heavily today than she did yesterday.
