Um, yeah, I think it's amazing that you're going to tackle NaNoWriMo again and I wish you the best of luck with it! :3 +sparklsparklesparkle+ Just know that I'll be rooting for you quite selfishly, but eh, it's not as if I attempt to be a saint all the way!
And I totally approve of the music selection.
But. London. oh my god oh my god oh my gooodddd! I wish I could visit, but I'm going there over Christmas break and I'm, like, 100% certain that you'llbe going home during that time, right? D: But I would totally jump! at the chance to meet you (+coughs+ and fangirl with you... in the streets of London... ~*~hysterically~*~). ^^
Do I sound too creepy? I'm sorry...! +overly enthusiastic+
I'm really glad that you're not too bothered by the natural delay in community updates as a result of NaNoWriMo I think it's terrible that I am itching to write fanfic as opposed to, you knoworiginal fiction OH WOE IS ME and I heartily encourage you to work on something or another~ Or, if you have the time, we can secretly plot something together for the benefit of another member <3
I really really really like this song~! It's just perfect for my current situation which is: timezones happy xD;;
OH MY GODDDD. I AM SO SO SO SORRY BUT YEAH, I WILL BE GOING HOME FOR THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. :< I'M SO SO SO SORRY *SOBS*
No, it's totally okay~! We're livejournal friends, after all~!
Ahhhhhh you apparently drop off the face of the planet for me for months and months and then you come back and say oh no big I'm going to cross the entire continental US and an ocean. Nooooooo you can't go!!!!!!
I'm just always so flattered by the way you manage to stalk me down. I would like to inform you that I have just returned from lurking aimlessly around your journal and kya kya kyaaaa~ more fic! :3 Of course, I'm a little disappointed at your reasons for discontinuing fic on the account of smutty scenes *cough* I AM A TOTAL PERVERT *cough* but many hearts for your writing anyways~
I'm going to come back to the states for Christmas and Spring Break, of course~! <3
Thank you~! And best of luck conquering writer's block (personally, I don't think it's a problem at all. You're certainly not paid for it and if you don't-feel-like-it [I myself 'don't feel like it' for periods of up to six months xD;] then why bother?).
As for Lord of the Flies: gimme a poke after NaNoWriMo, will you? BUT WHAT IF I WRITE SMUT? I'VE BEEN WRITING A LOT OF THAT (in other fandoms) AND I DON'T KNOW IF YOU LIKE THAT *quibbles*
Bawwwwwwwww what are you talking about, you were one of my favorite LOTF fic authors, of course I would go into fits when you post, you don't post enough, I wanna know about your life!!! I can't believe you're going international to study, it makes me feel lame to still be in the states for uni. I feel like a lot of people I met over fan fiction have turned out to be younger than me, which is curious but it's cool to know how everyone's doing!!
Thank you for the writing block sentiment! At first, starting uni was really killing the mood but lately I think maybe I can get out some new original fics?!
AND HAVE YOU ONLY READ CERTAIN ENTRIES because I now am no longer a girl who avoids smut, I write pwp sometimes and I CAN'T BE TAMED. SO JACK/SIMON SMUT??? YES PLEASE!! The only concern is that sometimes you disappear and I wanna follow through on this fic promise!
H-hahaha... I'm absolutely certain I've told you this time and again, but it was only because of your "Within the Shadows" fic that I SAW THE LIGHT and had something in my brain click and began to love Jack/Simon~ <3
Well, as I mature -- and no doubt enjoy writing fanfiction all the same -- I'm sure I'll be in your shoes! I just hope I'll make like a supportive and awesome writing senpai like you~ :D But yeah, I know people who are five years younger than me and they are writing some pretty awesome smut. *laughs*
Awesome! It's always really nice/bittersweet when fanfiction writers make the transition from "mostly fanfiction" to "mostly original fiction" but hey, part of the process -- go for it!
Hahaha yes, but I'm rarely actually gone. I generally just don't have anything to say (because most of my livejournal work is reading/reviewing/posting fanfiction and I'm too lazy to constantly cross-post). Erm, just comment on this entry again after NaNoWrimo~ :3
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GOING TO SCHOOL IN LONDON ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEEEEEEE
Lucky lucky lucky you. *jealous jealous jealous* You better be spending all, aaaaaaaaall your free time at Waterstones' or the British Museum or the Tate museums or the National Gallery or Brixton or the Kensington Gardens or CAMDEN TOWN MARKET *flails* You're there for the whole year ? Whole scholarship ?!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
On the other hand, HEY THAR DREAMZ GLAD TO SEE YOU'RE STILL ALIVE AND KICKING ASS, IT'S BEEN FOREVER :33
Well *sniffs* I'll admit that I prefer Blackwells to Waterstones :P but I spent equal amounts of time in both. I've been to the Egyptian part of the British museum four times, but ...! The current part of my course requires me to go to the Petrie Museum (of Egyptology) constantly. It's really cramped, but SO AWESOME. Plus, there are sexy costumes for nearly naked Egyptian dancers (no joke) and the silly conversations that inevitably ensue are totally worth the later awkwardness. xP
CAMDEN TOWN MARKETTTT...! ...er, haven't been there yet? xD
I'M THERE FOR THREE YEARS TECHNICALLY (think of it as a transfer, it's less complicated that way) SO PLEASE DO COME VISIT ME SOMETIMES~
HIIIII LONG TIME NO SEE ON YOUR SIDE TOO! IT'S SERIOUSLY BEEN FOREVER. When I come to Brussels again (and you have the spare time), let's take to the streets again~ <3 And much fangirling will be had.
... ... ... ..... Wait is your course again. Have I managed to forget that, aside of BEING IN LONDON FOR THREE YEARS (instead of just a couple months programme like I thought), YOU STUDY EGYPTOLOGY ??! 'Cause errrrr hello meet the girl who wants to be an archaeologist in the Middle East with Egyptology taking up one half of her cursus. *WAAAAVES~~~* ... Just saying, the Mesopotamian parts of the BM are pure awesome and beauty. The Assyrian lion hunt and the lamassu statues and the tablets and -- And the Greek and Roman parts are pretty cool too but you can find stuff like that everywhere in the world~
... You have to go to Camden. Just once. Then you'll go back every other weekend :DD Have a look inside the Cyberdog store and the flea markets in the Stables. ♥
Anyway STAY WHERE YOU ARE MY TURN TO COME AND VISIT YOU SOON AS I GET THE OPPORTUNITY, I MEAN LOOOOONDOOOOOON. Where's your school and dorm ? In what part of the city do you live ? :33 *curious curious*
*sparkle sparkle* AT THE IDEA OF AN AZA-VISITTTT <3 <3 <3
...erm, I'm majoring in History, but ALL MY COURSES this year are accidentally in Ancient History (this is, of course, because I just closed my eyes and picked them straight down the line, no joke xD;;) so my main class is: The Near East Empires (Babylon, Egypt, Assyria, etc.) until 1200 BC and that class is like: archeology-major-happy~ xD
My tutor was just busy trying to convince me to learn Sumerian so I could translate some of the six thousand odd unlooked-at tablets in the BM o////o BUT I AM TERRIBLE WHEN IT COMES TO PICTOGRAM-DERIVED LANGUAGES *sobs* ...like the asian languages.
I... I fear that I will never come back if I go once. I will bring a friend along so they can drag me back! >"D
OKAAAAYYY~ EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE ENTIRE WEEK OFF FROM NOVEMBER 5-11 AND I WAS PLANNING ON VISITING FRANCE AND BELGIUM AND LUXEMBOURG AGAIN xD
( ... )
things to complain about:acquiescemeNovember 2 2011, 08:52:44 UTC
1) the different timezones make chatting absolutely impossible like you have no idea! D: On that point, yes, I think your song choice is perfect, especially for London why oh why did you need to go so far?
2) The state of my grades. A-ahahaha............... *really awkward laughter that no doubt leads to a confession of SERIOUS SLACKING OFF* I don't know, I'm terrified that, unlike you, I might begin to hate my major more than anything, I don't want to be the student that is so bored with the lecture, they scratch out 'I hate my major but it's too late to change it' on the table >_____>''
3) My NaNoWriMo is less complete than yours! And I'm seven hours away from you! FML.
4) There are a lot of things I want to draw, 95% of them having to do with KuroBasu in some way or another, and I'm kind of disturbed as, you know too well, I haven't drawn-drawn in months. ^^;
And that's about all the whining and moaning I can think of! /rant
Re: things to complain about:dreamsofdest1nyNovember 2 2011, 12:35:29 UTC
1) Hi Artiiii~! *huggles* I miss you a lot too, though it's practically your fault for deciding to stay where you are~! :P But no worries, so long as you like the university, the other things are just secondary, right?
2) No. That is totally the wrong state of mind. My parents pretty much smacked me into shape when I started whining endlessly about my future unemployment. They were all like: shape up, stop whining, and remember to learn how to learn. So you should do the same~! :D
3) Pfff... not for long, as I am busy working on taking notes. @____< It's all really really really confusing because I DIDN'T LEARN ANYTHING ABOUT THE ANCIENT WORLD UP UNTIL THIS POINT. *flails and fails*
4) Draw, draw, draaaawwwww~~ *hearts* And also, have you started seriously thinking about... the project? :PP
Much love from my side too! When I get back to the states, we NEED TO PLAY CO-OP ON PORTAL. <3
Re: things to complain about:acquiescemeNovember 2 2011, 18:04:45 UTC
1) I suppose. But when you put it so... logically like that, there's not much else to say, you know? In other news, my brain is terribly boggled at the idea of simultaneous Leitmotifs in musical theater. *hating*
2) Yes, yes, mother! xP
3) Hahah~ one of my general courses is concentrating on that as well and I find it really interesting but terribly annoying because of the names and languages. But eh, it is certainly a lot of fun and I absolutely look forward to translating some of the older texts! (Will be growing up to be a useless human being, worry not xD)
4) Yes, yeeeessss...! But, but there's the whole NANOWRIMO monster looming over my shoulder, screaming at me because I haven't written in a while. ^^~
Yes, but of course! Aaaah, we all went so far. Except for Janet, that is. Hahaha, poor girl.
staving off a cold - GO AWAY SICKNESS!narcoleptic95November 15 2011, 10:39:38 UTC
1. I feel no pity for you and London weather whatsoever :I /lives in STATE OF THE SNOWBELTTTT Ohio
Also, I want to go to overseas University too! It's just. Bachelor's of Fine Arts; Illustration Concentration? Ahahaha fuck. No affordable (for me anyway) schools have that program. But your classes sound so fun~! I can't wait to pop over and visit.
On that note - potentially moving at that time next year! Woohoo faking independence yeahhh. Will be quitting the barn job and getting a new place with roommates so I don't become a full Hikikomori.
2. How do you write so much? Seriously. Super respect on my end for all writers - such talent is amazing.
I still recommend washing your hands as much as humanly possible. I do it every time I step out of my meticulously cleaned (even though it's messy as hell, I scrub everything~) room which is about... hm... eight-twelve times a day.
1. Well, if it makes you feel any better, I am often homesick and lonely. Especially around Thanksgiving now (my family doesn't even celebrate that much and I still miss them :/), when all my American!friends are going home for four-five days and aaargh...! D:
2. *bluuuush~~* Are you kidding? Show me your sketchbook someday and I bet I'll hit you over the head with it, going: "WHY DIDN'T YOU SHARE THIS?!" *flip flip flip* "OR THIS?!" *flip flip* "AAAARGH! NARCO, SHUT UP, TAKE THE SCANNER, AND START SCANNING!!" xDD;;
3. Kyaaa, eeeek, fangirl, fangirl, fangirl. <3
4. LOL. I would, but it's a bit too loud for me. I'm definitely more of a suburban person (so boring, but I actually don't like hatehatehate change... which is why I need to force myself to new limits [like going to university in London *
ON THE LONDON VISITdreamsofdest1nyNovember 15 2011, 11:45:24 UTC
Of course now is a bit too soon to plan, but when you end up deciding your travel plans, tell me ASAP so I can plan to properly welcome you~!
Will (the main person I tag along with! xD) is very interested in meeting you - though this is mainly because I have gushed to him about your awesome porn-drawing abilities and inherent kinkiness. Sorry about that kind of introduction in retrospect, I think I should have added "crazy cat lady who knows martial arts and gets cleaner burns" somewhere in there... ^^; But yeah, I have a lot of free time so if you want to go to any clubs or pubs or even other cities (like Brighton~! *sparkles* that's the first English city I lived in~ <3), I can totally accompany you!
And there is definitely a kitchen, and I have a futon, so we'll be set to go! <3 *looking forward to it~*
YEAH LONDONnarcoleptic95November 15 2011, 12:53:53 UTC
Well I can tell you my approximate travel dates right away~ I can afford college next semester so I'm coming on Spring Break! I'll be visiting March 10-16 give or take a day at the beginning and end for flight times and whatnot. If I can extend it a week (which I'm trying for) then I'll let you know!
Ffff telling people about me already? No probs, my wingman up in WA has all his friends and coworkers wanting to meet me ahahaha.
Yeah you can totally show me the sights! I have a few places in specific I want to go to (museums are my weakness) and a thing or two I want to do (sit and have tea at a different place everyday!) but I'm cool with pretty much anything.
And concerning what I keep to my sketchbooks...Well you'll have to see for yourself there XD
