HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GOING TO SCHOOL IN LONDON ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEEEEEEE
Lucky lucky lucky you. *jealous jealous jealous* You better be spending all, aaaaaaaaall your free time at Waterstones' or the British Museum or the Tate museums or the National Gallery or Brixton or the Kensington Gardens or CAMDEN TOWN MARKET *flails* You're there for the whole year ? Whole scholarship ?!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
On the other hand, HEY THAR DREAMZ GLAD TO SEE YOU'RE STILL ALIVE AND KICKING ASS, IT'S BEEN FOREVER :33
Well *sniffs* I'll admit that I prefer Blackwells to Waterstones :P but I spent equal amounts of time in both. I've been to the Egyptian part of the British museum four times, but ...! The current part of my course requires me to go to the Petrie Museum (of Egyptology) constantly. It's really cramped, but SO AWESOME. Plus, there are sexy costumes for nearly naked Egyptian dancers (no joke) and the silly conversations that inevitably ensue are totally worth the later awkwardness. xP
CAMDEN TOWN MARKETTTT...! ...er, haven't been there yet? xD
I'M THERE FOR THREE YEARS TECHNICALLY (think of it as a transfer, it's less complicated that way) SO PLEASE DO COME VISIT ME SOMETIMES~
HIIIII LONG TIME NO SEE ON YOUR SIDE TOO! IT'S SERIOUSLY BEEN FOREVER. When I come to Brussels again (and you have the spare time), let's take to the streets again~ <3 And much fangirling will be had.
... ... ... ..... Wait is your course again. Have I managed to forget that, aside of BEING IN LONDON FOR THREE YEARS (instead of just a couple months programme like I thought), YOU STUDY EGYPTOLOGY ??! 'Cause errrrr hello meet the girl who wants to be an archaeologist in the Middle East with Egyptology taking up one half of her cursus. *WAAAAVES~~~* ... Just saying, the Mesopotamian parts of the BM are pure awesome and beauty. The Assyrian lion hunt and the lamassu statues and the tablets and -- And the Greek and Roman parts are pretty cool too but you can find stuff like that everywhere in the world~
... You have to go to Camden. Just once. Then you'll go back every other weekend :DD Have a look inside the Cyberdog store and the flea markets in the Stables. ♥
Anyway STAY WHERE YOU ARE MY TURN TO COME AND VISIT YOU SOON AS I GET THE OPPORTUNITY, I MEAN LOOOOONDOOOOOON. Where's your school and dorm ? In what part of the city do you live ? :33 *curious curious*
*sparkle sparkle* AT THE IDEA OF AN AZA-VISITTTT <3 <3 <3
...erm, I'm majoring in History, but ALL MY COURSES this year are accidentally in Ancient History (this is, of course, because I just closed my eyes and picked them straight down the line, no joke xD;;) so my main class is: The Near East Empires (Babylon, Egypt, Assyria, etc.) until 1200 BC and that class is like: archeology-major-happy~ xD
My tutor was just busy trying to convince me to learn Sumerian so I could translate some of the six thousand odd unlooked-at tablets in the BM o////o BUT I AM TERRIBLE WHEN IT COMES TO PICTOGRAM-DERIVED LANGUAGES *sobs* ...like the asian languages.
I... I fear that I will never come back if I go once. I will bring a friend along so they can drag me back! >"D
OKAAAAYYY~ EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE ENTIRE WEEK OFF FROM NOVEMBER 5-11 AND I WAS PLANNING ON VISITING FRANCE AND BELGIUM AND LUXEMBOURG AGAIN xD
( ... )
