This afternoon we cleaned. I love saying that, "we cleaned." Such a mundane thing, but so equally shared, and in the sharing part of our intimacy is built and maintained.

Also. FYI. You know how when you fold sheets and smooch in the middle? 40 yrs of marriage and my paretns still do that sometimes. SO ADORABLE
I've been thinking a lot about you two, your engagement came just as I was retracing our steps from that bit of last summer. I visited Katt, stayed w/Rebecca, took a friend out to dinner at Lula, walked among the sculptures and gardens on the lakefront, drove up to Madison. Later this week I'm gonna make a point to drive to Colorado such that I get sunset in western Iowa... and *fireflies!*
