I'd forgotten how good your fiction is. or -- I hadn't forgotten completely, because I still clicked on the link in order to read more -- but you know what I mean.

such a good story, with a well-executed ending: usually suicides seem like a last resort (certainly when I still wrote stories I'd make characters kill themselves when I couldn't think of anything else to do), but this one made sense. I admit that I wasn't impressed with the roulette line by itself, but in context it fits in so well.

The girl must have felt gutted knowing that everything that she thought she had accomplished had been given to her by an invisible hand. Not so much romantic as devastating.
