Connie is SO cute and so grown up now! Wow, wish my parents taught me Spanish that way growing up. I had to learn when I was in my teens and I still cannot speak it entirely correct. I speak more Spanglish than Spanish. D:
I'm so happy you had a terrific holiday with your family. Sounds like a blast and I feel for you about missing loved ones during the holidays. I understand fully!
Glad you had a great time! We didn't do much, but it was just my mother, my father and myself. We ate, drank and watched some good movies. It was quiet. :D
PS: Connie is just super cute singing! She's one smart cookie, just like her momma. :D
Spanglish is great too!! And even more fun that just spanish, IMO. LOL.
I'm trying to make english as most familiar to Connie as I can. We watch movies with spanish dubbing and then the same movie in english. She also has books in english that I read to her and of course I teach her some words too.
I know you understand what it is to miss a loved one in these holidays. Thanks for that.
Yeah, we usually celebrate the holidays in a very quiet way too, but this year was special... we didn't even plan it like that, and that was even more fun.
OH MY GOD SHE IS THE CUTEST LITTLE GIRL IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!!!! lol. Seriously, she is so adorable! (and getting so big!) She is about the same age as one of my little nieces, Penelope. Penelope has recently gotten into The Princess Bride, so she goes around the house saying "oh my sweet Westly, what have I done?!" teeheee.
The Princess Bride! Yeah, I think it's time to make Connie's acquaintance with that movie too! Thanks for the idea. ;) Penelope sounds as adorable as Connie! They're so cute when they learn the movie lines, LOL. Oh, yeah, I think my little girl has a talent for singing. I hope she can develop that further, if she wants!
Qué hermosa está tu nena y qué grande! Me alegro que todo vaya bien con ella y con tu familia, desde aquí todos mis deseos de prosperidad y felicidad durante todo este nuevo año! ABRAZOS!!!
