Hey, I've
seen you around, what's your name?
Where are you coming from/where are you going?
I like your jeans and your old pair of tennis shoes
and that distant look on your face,
I want to know what's inside your skin
and the thoughts behind your silver eyes.
Maybe we could go out for drinks, or maybe
we could
stay in one night.

Here is now and now is
My favorite
time of day
is longboarding to the bus at
six in the morning. My favorite
thoughts are those wholly private
thoughts that aren't of her.
It's through.

Scrawling on a
blank white page; and all
it is, is
blank; white.
The shower drain
that's always clogged.
She's gone.
She's gone.
She's

My skin ignites
and my brain bleeds
(irony)
please,..
Isn't there a song
"I wish we were
freshmen"

Milk souring
in my fridge while I am
miles away, it doesn't
hold up against my
sour breath, rotting in my chest,
waiting for poems to come.

Your hair
falling around your shoulders
and your smile, your lips,
and your teeth.
I miss
your perseverance,
I'm hoping
you'll come back to me.

Come on
river dance,
fire thrower,
kiss me between the weeds
Come on and smoke with me
in my apartment,
let's go and watch the stars.
A thousand thoughts fill up your mind
when all you've been is
on my mind--
How can I tell you

She's wandering out
looking for rocks, it's
her anniversary.
They're wiping them clean.
I'm thinking of her, and telling her things.
The floods washed
treasures downstream; she's collecting
all of the
pretty rocks and
rusted things.

She's asking me
how
I'm doing, am I
safe am I
dry. Boulder flooded
and I regretted
one last smile.

The floods washed away
our sin and sanity--
spent the night
drinking
and driving through puddles
like standing lakes.
Our creek ran
over, I found
a fish
in the parking lot. For all of our
disaster training,
I never expected a flood.
