I'm excited. There has been a lot of activity lately concerning trying to get a smoking ban passed in PA. I think it has a serious shot this time, considering the Surgeon General recently released that huge report AND now the PA Restaurant Association has finally reversed its position and is for banning smoking in restaurants ( Read more... )

The battle with the flood waters appears to be over. The creek tried its damndest to drive us out, but it has failed! (Knowing my luck we will now get a torrential downpour.) The water made it relatively far up, but it hasn't quite reached our backyard ( Read more... )

The creek has officially breeched the banks. It is rather close to our backyard, but we should be fine.

Although I've heard we might get more rain ... I hope not. Our basement already flooded ... I don't want to have to scoop out the first floor.
