I love my Kindle. If you do a search for 0.00 you can find quite a few free books. Many of the classics are free in a stripped down form.

Yeah, I've just read Willa Cather's "O Pioneers" for free, and am working my way through my umpteenth reading of "The Count of Monte Cristo" whenever I'm between titles.

What a great and totally deserved present! I really like my Kindle for the one-handed page turns too. I can eat or pet a cat while still reading. :)

Exactly...and I can read in bed without having to hold a heavy book above my head.
