This morning, I was in the same room with practically all of my teachers at once.
Since I left grad school 25 years ago, this was slightly unusual.
The occasion was a service to honor Jim Litton. Present for the occasion were Gerre and Judy Hancock, John Bertalot, Ray Glover, Danny Beckwith, Hal Pysher, Bruce Neswick and others.

Two Love Songs of John of the Cross
A very cool thing happened recently. The composer Steven Sametz, whose music I adore, wrote two songs inspired by conversations we had about my spiritual journey. This morning was foggy and drizzly, and the temperature was below freezing. So all the trees are coated with frozen droplets of water. The sun has just come out, and the scene is sparkling brightly. Presence and absence
Someone sent me a nudge. I am grateful to be remembered.
I have been utterly swamped with work. A huge project, two years in the making, launched on Monday. I have been working 20-hour days for about two weeks. Seriously sleep-deprived.
It will get better. I will be back. Sooner, I hope, rather than later.
