And we don't need the ladies crying 'cause the story's sad

So today I managed to Force Lightning my monitor, effectively shocking it into non-existence. Was unable to get any work done today, so it's a good thing most of my day involved meetings.

Then I got the call that Rock Band 3 with the keyboard bundle was going to be delayed due to a manufacturing defect. Sigh.

Fallout 3 is the epitome of disaster porn. Sure, it falls prey to the usual "everything is brown and grey" mentality, but for once it's actually deserved. It's the level of detail that goes into how destroyed and ruined everything is that really does it for me. In fact, the above picture has a story to it! So that is the view as soon as you come out of Vault 101 for the first time. Off in the distance is the Capitol Building and Washington Monument, and in the closer distance on the right side is the city of Megaton.

Now, I was not told much about Fallout when I got into it, just that this game was kinda like Oblivion with guns, and it came highly recommended from someone who usually has something bad to say about everything. So my initial reaction to this view was, "Hey, that kinda looks like the Was- ...oh my god. Oh my god. This is Washington, D.C. And it was just a huge moment for me. But I think most people can appreciate the trailer/intro movie.
