...since when was Canberra in a monsoonal climate?

Also, someone really needs to sit down with the people who put up roadworks speed limit signs and explain to them the moral of the story of the boy who cried wolf. I've noticed that, too - there was a stretch down to /40/ the other day, though that time there seemed to be dirt and stuff on the road suggesting trucks from the roadworks were using that stretch as a bypass to get to the area they're dumping fill. It's kind of irritating though, since that's the /only/ indication I've seen, despite the signs being uncovered most days.

They also keep forgetting to cover the normal speed limit signs, so it's not obvious where the limited area ends . . .
