I've noticed that, too - there was a stretch down to /40/ the other day, though that time there seemed to be dirt and stuff on the road suggesting trucks from the roadworks were using that stretch as a bypass to get to the area they're dumping fill. It's kind of irritating though, since that's the /only/ indication I've seen, despite the signs being uncovered most days.

They also keep forgetting to cover the normal speed limit signs, so it's not obvious where the limited area ends . . .
