Also, someone really needs to sit down with the people who put up roadworks speed limit signs and explain to them the moral of the story of the boy who cried wolf. I think there have been roadwork speed limit signs on Lady Denman for about a month now - and those have been the only sign of roadworks.
There is a major set of roadworks on the next road over, but since Lady Denman is the main detour, that seems to me to be a good reason to leave it the hell alone...
