Once again, congratulations to all of our "Best of 2009" winners! liltinybee is hard at work on the award banners, but while we're waiting for them to be finished, ( BANNERS ARE UP!) I'd like to take a few moments to let you know about what's coming up next at the Dramione Awards, and also get your opinion about what sort of Dramione goodness you'd like to ( Read more... )

Thanks for the input!

Just to clarify, the very next round (Round 7) is going to be drabbles and ficlets, which haven't really been recognized by the Dramione Awards before. Basically, any Dramione drabble/ficlet ever written will be eligible, so allowing new fics to accumulate wouldn't really be an issue! There are already lots of them out there to consider for nomination! :)

First of all, I voted Early 2011 because that way we'd have ample time to gather more fics (as softobsidian74 said). I know it's just drabbles and you said it'd be shorter, nevertheless before the school starts sounds too soon to me.

Anyway, Round 8. All those ideas are perfect and all for different reasons; I'm partial to "New/Unrecognized Authors" though. :) I'd really, really look forward to a PG etc. round! Really.

I like the idea of holiday fics getting a round.

The Cliche round would be fun for sure, and I really like the idea of the New/Unrecognized Authors as either a round or a subcategory of a round.

How about a round of all parenting fics? Or at least children being involved in some way...?

Actually, if/when we do the Cliche round, we would probably include the parenting/child fics as a category, rather than making it it's own separate round. Good suggestion, though! :)

G, PG, and PG-13, please! (Surprise, surprise coming from me, I know. :P)

Fun with Cliches would also be fun, though the well-written ones of those are a bit tricky to track down. If the Christmas/Holiday round goes through, then that would probably be best in the later part of the year, while everyone is in the mood. "New/Unrecognized" would also be good, though maybe as its own subcategory?
