To sign up,

First, make sure you've read the rules carefully. This exchange is slightly different from the others, and some of the rules are different, and you will be tested on them in the sign up form, LOL!

In particular, please note the new shorter deadline: In the past, despite having 3 months+ to write a story, most participants have had to ask for an extension, and I've come to the conclusion it's because people start off thinking they have lots of time, put the assignment aside, and then something unforeseen pops up to stop them writing. So, this year, I've set a shorter deadline of 6 weeks (which is actually in line with some of the other HP fests) in the hope that participants will be inspired by the (slightly) increased pressure. Remember, the minimum word count is only 1000 words!

1. Answer the first two questions as if you're casting a vote -- type an X inside the brackets!


2. A prompt can be virtually anything -- a single word, a picture, song lyrics, a mood, a theme, a brief scenario (such as 'Draco joins the Order and becomes a spy' or 'Draco and Hermione have a secret affair'), or whatever you like, but please give your duet partner a variety of different types. She (or he) MUST incorporate at least ONE of your three prompts into your gift.


3. Remember that the assignments will be anonymous. Comments here will be screened, so nobody can peek at the other sign up forms, and I ask you neither to post nor to tell anyone the details of your request.


4. This exchange depends upon PARTNERSHIP. That means two things:
   
   
   • If you sign up, you are committing yourself to writing a story for your partner.
   
   
   • If you sign up, you are committing yourself to reviewing the story your partner writes for you.
