I haven't been reading along in the rpg... but just in general, I can see the Lilah from the show having a past like that. Hearing those kind of words could totally have pushed her to being so evil.

Aw, man. Poor Lilah. :( I've always thought she had a crappy childhood (something she shared with Wesley, maybe), especially after the phone call she placed to her mom in S3 so this makes complete sense.
