Drama Prince is in this phase where he is facisnated with kissing. He kisses his toys. He tries to kiss the neighbour's dog. He kisses his Dad. But more than anyone else, he kisses me

Babies give mushy kisses. If you prohibit or hide them when there is no inappropriate sub text then you'll actually be teaching him that kisses are bad. :( When he's big enough to understand, you can train him to do less lingering and less gooey kisses while still affirming how awesome it is to get kisses. Not nearly enough little boys get hugged and kissed by loving people. Lucky Prince!
People who work for CAS find this stage with their kids awkward too. When my old boss's son kept swooping in for kisses, she very earnestly explained that they decided not to make a big deal about it and wait for him to grow out of it.
I think exterior guidelines are y'know good, but all these milestone like when to stop letting the kids sleep in the bed or when to stop taking baths with them just require good instincts.
I guess this is as good a time as any to de-lurk myself :) You'll probably figure out who I am from my comments :)
My little girl who's just a few months older then Drama Prince gives several kisses on the mouth....to the point where I start to feel awkward! We were recently in B.C. visiting with a friend who has a 3 year old. My daughter was giving her a few too many kisses and you could tell she just wasn't quite sure what to do about it! As someone else said, I'd rather let her go over the line a bit then make her uncomfortable with kisses and showing affection. As for that lady, clearly she has some of her own issues! And CAS, well, when I worked there we would have thought that was adorable and that whoever reported is had some serious problems!
