Documentary

Later this morning, I'm being interviewed for a documentary about the Ottawa Fringe festival. On the one hand, exciting! I'm definitely a documentary fan(audrawilliams I promise I will make it out to one of your parties sooner or later!). Who would have thought my endeavours could be intriguing enough to be chronicled on film?

On the ohter hand, scary! Interviews are not my forte. It's my tendency to ramble combined with my penchant for dorkiness make that trip me up. In print, they can distill my meandering thoughts down a few coherent quotes, next to a reasonably flattering picture. On the radio, there's no face to associate with random chatter. Film is a different story. Of course, they'll edit me but I doubt it will be to the same degree as a newspaper article. Not to mention my face will be up there on screen, in all it's quirky, geeky glory.

Still, it's an opportunity to pretend I'm fascinating for a day. That in and of itself is reason enough for me ignore the potential embarrassment. Wish me luck!

welcome to my dorkdom, writing: plays, i'm an actor, fringe
