Well...I guess it really depends on who you're trying to flirt with and what your goal is, Herr.

Flirting is something that shouldn't be taken too seriously since it's supposed to be fun, so lowering your expectations is a start. Being relaxed and approachable is also important, the more comfortable you are or seem to be the more comfortable the other individual will be. Learning the do's and don't's of eye contact, making contact and playing coy is a do...staring is a don't. Initiating the encounter and sharing information about yourself...also using body language to let the other person know exactly what your intentions are.

If you can do this you're good.
