[Edgeworth's sitting in front of the computer in his home office. Behind him can be seen his daemon, sitting on her haunches before his wall of books and peering at the spines.

[dryly, Edgeworth addresses the camera.] If anyone has any suggestions for hiding a rather conspicuous and intimidating tiger from the general populace I'd be delighted to ( Read more... )

[You can see Kurt in his room, a white lion next to him]

If you get any good suggestion, please give me a call.

[dismissively] I'm afraid I'm a bit busy at the moment, but you're welcome to follow these conversations to look for the answers yourself.

[a feminine voice hisses quietly from off-screen] Must you be so disagreeable?

[Kurt just raises an eyebrow, he is used to Edgeworth being harsh.]

[He lion huffs and then look at the tiger with interest and flicks his ears.]If only they learned from us. Nice fur, miss.

[Edgeworth rolls his eyes as Dike flicks her ears forward and speaks.] Thank you, sir. He learns most lessons very well, actually. He's just...a bit slow at times.

You'd be surprised what people don't notice.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone failed to notice this. I would be flabbergasted.

There's entire books filled with things people have failed to notice.

Do you ever get tired of being flabbergasted?

By all rights, I shouldn't. It doesn't happen often enough for me to get tired of it.

...But yes. Unspeakably so.

But she's beautiful, Mr. Edgeworth! What's her name?

[ Mitra, as a small chickadee, is sitting on her head, peering at the screen with interest ]

[before he can answer, the tiger shoves her head in between him and the camera. over Edgeworth's indignant squawk she says] Aren't you a polite child! And so observant.

[she pulls back to look at Edgeworth, seemingly unconcerned with the glare he's shooting at her.] Miles, why don't you introduce us?

[he bristles at the use of his given name.] You've made a formal introduction rather pointless, don't you think? [he turns to Mileina with a long-suffering sigh.] Her name is Dike. And I hope yours is better behaved than mine.

It's very nice to meet you! I'm Mileina, and this is Mitra. [ She giggles a little at Edgeworth's expression; he flutters off her head and below the table; a moment later, he rears up as a tiger, his front paws on the table ]

[Edgeworth's eyes grow wide for a moment, until the knowledge helpfully plants itself in his brain and explains the phenomenon for him. both man and daemon give the pair a nod. while Dike sticks her nose toward the screen, Edgeworth says] Mitra. [and Dike says] Mileina.

[Phoenix turns on his video feed, showing him on his couch with a grey wolf lying beside him, her head resting on his leg. She gives the camera a glance and what appears to be the wolf equivalent of a smile, content as her host runs his fingers through her fur.]

Her name's Aletheia.

[Edgeworth blinks in surprise then his gaze softens, a hint of a smile crossing his lips. he gives the wolf the best bow he can manage while seated.] Aletheia.

[then he turns his attention back to Wright. wryly] I see your dilemma. I don't suppose she could pass for a domesticated dog.
