[Video][Backdated to yesterday morning]

[Edgeworth's sitting in front of the computer in his home office. Behind him can be seen his daemon, sitting on her haunches before his wall of books and peering at the spines.

[dryly, Edgeworth addresses the camera.] If anyone has any suggestions for hiding a rather conspicuous and intimidating tiger from the general populace I'd be delighted to ( Read more... )

[Have Rachel staring just beyond you, her eyes wide. A stately eagle is perched upon what looks to be the back of a sofa behind her, head cocked to the side.]

[Edgeworth stares back for a while as Dike cocks her head at the eagle.]

Hm. Appropriate.

[Rachel looks puzzled for a moment, but then seems to realize what's going on: the book is broadcasting her without her permission again.

She offers a hint of a smile.]

I could say the same.

[he can't help but flash a brief, smug smile in return.] You believe so? I've never really considered myself a cat person. They're too unmanageable for my tastes.

[behind him, Dike shakes her head and flicks the tip of her tail sharply.] You're forgetting your manners again.

[Edgeworth's jaw clenches and he shoots her a warning glare.] Rachel, this demanding creature is Dike. Dike, Rachel.

[she gives a whuffing noise and bows her head.] Charmed.

...Would you fail to notice a tiger if it was covered by a tablecloth?

If it held really still. Most of these things seem smart enough to take direction like that, from the looks of it.

[Edgeworth doesn't look amused. in fact, his glare is obviously indignant.] These 'things' are at least as smart as their... [he falters as he stumbles over the proper way to describe the relationship] ...hosts are. Smart enough to decide whether they want to take direction. Even assuming she'd agree--

[off-screen] Which she won't.

[Edgeworth smirks askance at her.] Either way, your method is no use to me if she has to hold still. And I think a tablecloth walking down the street would attract attention no matter what form it hid.

Well hello kitty, those claws are so pretty~ [Check this out, it's an unmanned bird in front of the computer...Klavier is currently nowhere to be seen.] Why would you want to hide her!

[Edgeworth cocks an eyebrow at him. even without the journal this daemon's partner would be obvious.] I don't particularly want to, but as the only alternatives are 'stay home for an undisclosed span of time' or 'inspire mass hysteria that could potentially result in the both of us being killed,' disguising her seems preferable.

I see your problem [he's too busy poking his beak around Edgeworth's shoulder to really care too much about his dilemma. here kitty kitty kitty, come to the nice birdy] Guess one of those world-hop things would be out of the question.

[he doesn't seem to care that the peacock doesn't care. he's too busy wallowing in wanderlust.] Not necessarily. However--

[this seems to be Dike's cue to interrupt. she suddenly shoves her way on-screen.] World-hop things? [turns to Edgeworth] There's a thought.

[Edgeworth scowls at her.] I'm looking to leave this apartment, not this world.

Unfortunately, I am neither a zookeeper nor a circus performer, and I can't conceive of a situation in which a tiger might be of use in a courtroom.

[Oh hey, here's another tiger. In the background you can see Rose, but she just reading a book. The tiger speaks with a deep rumbling male voice.]

Rose hasn't even bothered to try to hide me. But then again, I don't think it matters where we are.

[Edgeworth is only slightly thrown by the daemon addressing him without Rose. he recovers quickly and speaks to him in his usual calm tone.] Which is?

That would be the Dreaming. Talking animals are among the least odd things here.

The Dreaming? [Edgeworth leans forward, interest clearly piqued. Dike wanders over with easy, casual grace and takes a seat beside him.] Is she a native or is she acquainted with one?
